Entergy spokesman Clyde Mitchell said there are still about 190 customers in the area still without power. Tropical Storm Edouard made landfall around 7 a.m. between High Island and Sabine Pass, Texas, according to the National Weather Service in Lake Charles. As of 4 p.m. Monday, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office opened a public information center and it will be manned until further notice.The telephone numbers are 337-491-3768 or 337-491-1339. Storm-related information, including down power lines and road closures due to flooding, will be available.People needing assistance should call the Sheriff’s Office at 337-491-3700.

Portions of Rockefeller Refuge closed due to storm

Interstate lane closures cancelled due to Edouard

Due to Tropical Storm Edouard, lane closures scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 5, on Interstate 10 between La. 108 and the Interstate 210 junction near Sulphur, have been cancelled until further notice, said Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development Area Engineer Ronnie Dupont.
