Bertha expected to fade
According to the Associated Press, forecasters say Hurricane Bertha could begin to weaken within the next couple of days. As of 4 a.m. CDT Tuesday, the center of the storm was about 675 miles east-northeast of the northern Leeward Islands and about 1,035 miles southeast of Bermuda.

Hurricane Bertha forms in Atlantic
Tropical storm Bertha has strengthened to become the first hurricane of the Atlantic season. As of 4 a.m. CDT Monday, Hurricane Bertha was about 845 miles east of the northern Leeward Islands.
